Inpatient Care

inpatient-feature

Designed for patients who are 18 years and older, struggling with any of the above conditions, and require 24- hour inpatient care. Our focus is on recovery and reintegration into the community. Using patient-and family-centered care, treatment plans are developed with input from and engagement of loved ones and caregivers, as well as community-based resources. The patient’s strengths provide the cornerstone of the treatment plan and drive treatment from admission to reintegration.

The design and structure of the new unit, located on the sixth floor of our hospital, is entirely focused on creating an enhanced therapeutic environment for our behavioral health patients. We looked at every detail, from the lights, the floors, the color of the walls and artwork to the nurses’ station, which offers a clear line of sight throughout the unit. Taking into consideration their comfort and peace of mind, every accommodation was made for our patient rooms.

Using a multidisciplinary approach, our team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, psychologists, psychiatric nurses, case managers, social workers, clinical counselors, and technicians provide comprehensive, compassionate care. We work closely with patients and their loved ones to develop tailored care plans that include movement therapy, yoga, art, guided meditation, and aromatherapy, all of which foster healing for patients while learning coping skills that hasten their recovery.

In addition to Psychiatric and Medical evaluations as well as treatment with medications, our program uses individual and group therapies to form and create a structured environment for our patients’ recovery during the brief period they are with us on the unit. Accordingly, our visitation hours are as follows: Monday through Friday from 6 to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.

Psychiatric consultations aren’t limited to our unit; they are offered to inpatients on other units of the hospital as needed.
