MedStar Harbor Hospital welcomes board certified general surgeon Adheesh A. Sabnis, MD, FACS, effective April 1. With over seven years of experience in general surgery, Dr. Sabnis specializes in the use of both traditional and minimally invasive surgical approaches to treat a full range of medical conditions.

BALTIMORE—(March 27, 2015) MedStar Harbor Hospital welcomes board certified general surgeon Adheesh A. Sabnis, MD, FACS, effective April 1. With over seven years of experience in general surgery, Dr. Sabnis specializes in the use of both traditional and minimally invasive surgical approaches to treat a full range of medical conditions.

Dr. Sabnis joins an experienced surgical team at MedStar Harbor, committed to providing advanced care for patients with a variety of surgical needs. Focused on a collaborative approach to patient care, Dr. Sabnis will work closely with experts in other surgical and medical specialties to find the best treatment approach for each patient.

Previously serving as the co-director of Minimally Invasive and Laparoscopic Surgery at sister hospital MedStar Good Samaritan, Dr. Sabnis has added expertise in laparoscopic hernia repairs, colectomies and peritoneal dialysis access.

After receiving his doctor of medicine degree from The Ohio State University, College of Medicine and Public Health in Columbus, OH, Dr. Sabnis completed an internship and residency in general surgery at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He continued his training with a clinical research fellowship in minimally invasive surgery from The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, followed by a laparoscopic and bariatric surgery fellowship from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, NY.
